Waukesha Household Hazardous Waste Collection Information

Items such as cleaners, lead-based paint, stain, gasoline, and motor oil can be taken to the collection site at W144 S6347 College Court, Muskego, WI 53150

Motor oil and oil filters can be taken to the New Berlin Recycling Center at 3711 S. Casper Drive

Rechargeable batteries can be taken to select drop-off locations.

The closest choice is Elliott’s Ace Hardware on Moorland Road, just south of College Avenue (across the street from WalMart). The next best choices are the Menards on Highway 100 (south of Janesville Road) in Franklin and the Home Depot in West Allis (National and Highway 100).

Lawnmower/Snowblower Sales/Parts/Repair

Olson's Outdoor Power on College Avenue (just west of Karrington Woods) is a convenient option for outdoor power equipment. They sharpen lawnmower blades and tune-up lawnmowers and snowblowers. Elliott's and the other hardware stores will do some of that as well.
