Covenants
Covenant - Vehicle Storage
Covenant
Vehicle Storage. There shall be no outside storage of cars, motorcycles, snowmobiles, jet skis, boats, trailers, buses, trucks, or campers, or any other vehicles or items deemed to be unsightly by the Declarant. The outside storage or parking of commercial vehicles is expressly prohibited, and any commercial vehicle must be housed in the garage.
Interpretation
Outside storage is defined as the presence of said items for more than 72 consecutive hours. Passenger vehicles that do not move during that time are considered in violation. All other items are restricted to 72 hours of outside storage within a 2 week period. For example, a camper being prepared for a weekend trip may be parked in the driveway while it is being prepared before and cleaned after, but it cannot be stored on the driveway for more than a total of 72 hours in a 2 week period.
Enforcement of Covenants / Amendments
The topic of enforcement of the subdivision covenants was discussed at the March 2008 meeting. There were frequent problems with vehicle, trailer, and boat storage last year, and complaints were heard about a violation of the Swimming Pool amendment.
To address these concerns, the following statements were proposed for clarification of the two issues and what will be done to enforce them.
These statements were approved unanimously by residents and the officers have been tasked with ensuring that these and all the covenants are enforced in a fair but firm manner.
